ECOWAS suspends Mali after twin coups

ACCRA: West African leaders, assembly in a regional summit Sunday, suspended Mali from the Financial Group of West African States (ECOWAS) our bodies after a second coup by the Malian navy.
“The suspension from ECOWAS takes speedy impact till the deadline of the tip of February 2022 when they’re supposed at hand over to a democratically elected government,” Ghana‘s Overseas Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey advised reporters.
